Hostel Policies 

Terms & Conditions

Booking Duration:The hostel is currently accepting bookings of 3 nights + only. Guests are required to book their stay for a minimum duration of 3 nights. Extensions to bookings may be permitted, subject to availability and the discretion of the hostel management.

 

Payment Policy:

Reservation Payment:1.1. A deposit of $50 is required to secure the reservation.1.2. The remaining balance of the full booking price is to be paid upon arrival at the hostel.

 

Security Bond and Payment:

2.1. A security bond of $50 shall be charged immediately upon booking. This bond will serve to ensure proper care of the property, any borrowed items and any missed rent payments. 2.2. The security bond shall be refundable at the end of the residency period, subject to deductions for any outstanding rent, damages to the property, or violation of the hostel's rules and regulations. 2.3. The full booking price is to be paid, by the latest of, upon arrival to the hostel.

Rent Payment: Any rent shall be paid in advance on the move-in day and subsequently on or before the same day of each week. Failure to pay rent on time may result in deductions from the security bond or possible eviction, as per the discretion of the hostel management.

Conduct and Respect:All guests agree to conduct themselves in a respectful manner and maintain cleanliness in all shared spaces within the hostel premises.Bullying, harassment, racism, or any other forms of disruptive behaviour towards other guests, staff, or property will not be tolerated.Guests shall respect the hostel's property, facilities, and fellow residents at all times.

Rent Arrears and Deductions:In the event of missed rent payments, the outstanding amount shall be deducted from the security bond.Should the security bond be insufficient to cover the rent arrears, the guest may be liable for further payment or eviction.

 

Visitation Policy:No visitors are allowed inside the hostel premises after 6:00 PM. Guests are responsible for informing their visitors about this policy and ensuring their compliance.

 

Age Limitation:The hostel is exclusively open to guests within the age range of 18 to 35 years.

 

Parking Policy:Onsite parking facilities are not available for guests. Under no circumstances should guests park in the private car park at the back of the hostel it does not belong to Wanna Stay and you will be towed at your expense!

 

Hostel Events:The hostel may organise both free and paid events during weekdays, and guests are welcome to participate at their discretion.

 

Accessibility:The hostel premises are not wheelchair accessible, as it is located on level one and level two of the building without an elevator or wheelchair ramps.

 

Force Majeure: In the event of unforeseen circumstances or force majeure events, such as acts of God or events beyond anyone's control, resulting in the hostel's inability to fulfil its obligations, guests shall not be liable for any cancellation fees.

 

Reporting and Feedback: The hostel encourages guests to promptly notify the management of any necessary replacements, repairs, or improvements required within the hostel premises.Guest feedback is valuable to the continuous improvement and maintenance of the hostel's quality for all residents.

 

No Pets Policy: Pets are not permitted inside the hostel premises. Guests found with pets may be subject to eviction and additional cleaning fees.

 

Check-in and Check-out: Check-in time starts at 2:00 PM. For guests arriving after office hours, self-check-in options may be available. Guests must arrange self-check-in directly with hostel management prior to their arrival.Check-out time is at 10:00 AM on the departure date.

 

Reception Hours: Reception is open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Guests requiring assistance outside these hours should contact the hostel management in advance to make necessary arrangements.

Cancellation Policy

 

Cancellation Policy: Once a guest has checked in and paid for their booking, the accommodation fee is non-refundable.

Cancellation of Reservation: In the event that a guest cancels their reservation for accommodation at Wanna Stay Backpacker Hostel, the following terms shall apply.

Non-Refundable Deposit: The $50 deposit paid at the time of reservation is non-refundable.In the event of a cancellation, this deposit is non-refundable regardless of the timing of the cancellation.

No-Shows: In the event of a no-show (a guest failing to arrive without prior cancellation notice), the $50 deposit shall be retained by the hostel.

Acknowledgment: By making a reservation and providing the $50 deposit, guests acknowledge their understanding and acceptance of this non-refundable deposit policy.

Hostel Residential Document:Before check-in, all guests will be provided with a Hostel Guest Document that outlines the terms and conditions of residency, including the house rules. It is mandatory for guests to thoroughly read and sign this document before checking in.By signing the Hostel Residential Document, guests acknowledge their understanding and acceptance of the terms and conditions set forth by the hostel.

By purchasing a ticket for a day trip organized by Wanna Trip, in affiliation with Wanna Stay and any associated companies, you (the passenger) agree to the following terms and conditions:

Transportation Services: Wanna Trip provides only transportation to and from designated trip locations. We are not responsible for activities, personal experiences, or events occurring at the trip destinations.

Personal Responsibility: Passengers are solely responsible for their actions and conduct. By purchasing a ticket, you agree that Wanna Trip, Wanna Stay, and any related affiliates are not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage that may occur during the trip.

Environmental Respect: Passengers must respect the natural environment and adhere to all local regulations and laws. Any fines or penalties incurred due to the violation of these laws or regulations are the sole responsibility of the passenger.

Compliance with Local Rules: We strongly recommend that all passengers abide by the rules and guidelines set forth by the authorities or governing bodies of the areas visited. This includes, but is not limited to, safety regulations, environmental guidelines, and public conduct standards.

Behavioral Standards: Bullying, harassment, or any form of abuse towards other passengers or staff members is strictly prohibited. Inappropriate behavior may result in the offender being dropped off at the nearest town or, in severe cases, at a police station. The decision of the trip coordinator or driver in such situations is final and binding.

Driver Distraction: Passengers must not distract or annoy the driver while the vehicle is in motion. Only authorized personnel are permitted to drive the transport vehicles.

Litter and Waste: Passengers are expected to either bring back or properly dispose of all personal waste and items brought on the trip. Littering or improper disposal of waste is strictly prohibited.

Alcohol and Drugs: Consumption of illegal substances or excessive alcohol before or during the trip is not permitted. Any passenger found violating this rule may be asked to leave the trip immediately.

Medical Conditions: Passengers with medical conditions or special needs should inform Wanna Trip prior to the trip for appropriate accommodations or advice. However, we are not responsible for any medical incidents or requirements during the trip.

Insurance: Passengers are advised to have personal travel insurance. Wanna Trip and its affiliates do not provide individual insurance coverage for accidents, losses, or medical emergencies.

Amendments and Cancellations: Wanna Trip reserves the right to amend or cancel trips due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, passengers will be notified promptly, and options for rescheduling or refunds will be provided.

Acceptance of Risk: By participating in the trip, passengers acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with travel and outdoor activities.

Your agreement to these terms and conditions is confirmed upon the purchase of your ticket. We look forward to providing you with a memorable and safe travel experience.

General Cancellation and Refund Policy: Participants can cancel their participation in any paid event or trip and receive a full refund if the cancellation is made at least 72 hours before the scheduled start time. This policy ensures fairness and allows for the effective management of event or trip logistics.

Transfer Policy Adjustment: Requests for ticket transfers to a different event or trip do not require a 72-hour notice but are strictly subject to availability. This flexibility aims to accommodate participants' needs while managing operational capacities effectively.

Inside 72-Hour Window: If a participant requests a transfer less than 72 hours before the event or trip and there is no availability, no refund will be issued if the participant cannot attend their originally booked date, due to the short notice. This policy recognizes the logistical challenges and potential financial impacts of last-minute changes.

Outside 72-Hour Window with No Availability: If a cancellation is made more than 72 hours before the scheduled event or trip but there is no availability for transfer, the participant will be eligible for a refund. This consideration is provided to honour the timely cancellation notice, acknowledging the participant's effort to inform the organisers within a reasonable timeframe.

Event or Trip Cancellation by Organizers: In the event of cancellation by the organizers due to unforeseen circumstances, participants will be notified promptly, and a full refund will be issued. Alternatively, participants may have the option to transfer their registration to another date or event, subject to availability.

No-show Policy for Complimentary Tickets: Recipients of complimentary (free) tickets to paid events or trips who fail to attend or cancel their reservation within 72 hours of the scheduled start time will not be eligible for future complimentary tickets. However, they are welcome to attend future events or trips by purchasing a ticket. This policy ensures that complimentary tickets are utilized responsibly, honoring the value and opportunity they represent.

 

Participants are encouraged to carefully consider their commitments and communicate any changes in their plans to the organisers as soon as possible. Our policies are designed to offer flexibility while maintaining fairness and operational efficiency for all involved.

INSIDE VEHICLE POLICY

Standard rules for passengers while in transport service are designed to ensure safety, cleanliness, and comfort for both the passenger and the driver. Please follow our rules while riding with us

No Smoking: Smoking or vaping inside the vehicle is strictly prohibited to maintain a clean and safe environment and to adhere to health and safety regulations.

Seat Belts: Passengers must wear seat belts at all times during the journey for their safety.

Littering: Do not leave trash in the vehicle. Passengers are expected to take their rubbish with them or dispose of it properly to keep the vehicle clean.

No Eating or Drinking: Eating and drinking (especially foods and beverages that can spill or emit strong odors) may be restricted to avoid spills, stains, and unpleasant smells inside the vehicle.

Respect the Driver: Treat the driver with respect and do not engage in behavior that could distract or offend them. This includes excessive noise, rude language, or distracting the driver while the vehicle is in motion.

Alcohol and Drugs: The consumption of alcohol or the use of illegal drugs inside the vehicle is often prohibited.

Respect Property: Do not damage or deface the vehicle’s interior or exterior. Passengers may be held financially responsible for any damage they cause.

Safety and Compliance: Follow the driver's instructions regarding safety and vehicle operation. This includes not asking the driver to exceed speed limits or engage in unsafe driving practices.

Entry and Exit Safety: Wait for the vehicle to come to a complete stop before attempting to enter or exit. Always check that is it safe to do so!

Personal Belongings: Keep your belongings secure and remember to take all of your personal items with you at the end of the trip. The company or driver is not responsible for items left behind.

Maximum Capacity: Do not exceed the vehicle's maximum passenger capacity. Children and infants count towards the passenger limit.

Noise Level: Keep the noise level to a minimum to ensure a pleasant ride for everyone. This includes moderating phone call volume and music.
